Ginger, ginger, ginger! We love all things ginger. Make it a spicy festival cocktail with some cinnamon and nutmeg. The homemade ginger nectar is worth it.
INGREDIENTS
- 30 – 50ml Ginger Cordial or Nectar*
- 2 slice of fresh Ginger.
- 5 ml freshly squeezed lime.
- 125ml Binary botanical
METHOD
Add fresh mint leaves, lime, ginger, and cordial into your glass. Stir to combine and add ice. Top up with binary. Garnish with fresh mint leave
GINGER NECTAR
Homemade ginger nectar is versatile and so easy to make. This is also perfect if you are looking for a no sugar cordial to enjoy with your cocktails.
INGREDIENTS
- 10cm ginger
- Lemon (optional)
- 1-2 cups water
- Sugar (optional)
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 220 degC. Roughly chop ginger into pieces with the skin on and roast for about 40–45 minutes, turning occasionally. Add ginger, lemon and water into saucepan and boil for 10 minutes. Add sugar to taste and strain into a container.
